Ron Paul in Obama's cabinet
I admit that when Congressman Paul speaks, I agree strongly with about half of what he says. The other 50% not so much. It is for that last 50% that I didn't vote for him in the primaries.
Still, Congressman Paul has some very good points to make. He speaks with logic, strength and intelligence, and he has resonated with a large chunk of independent and libertarian minded citizens. When it comes to supporters (on this website) of personal liberties and social libertarianism, Ron Paul speaks our language.
Thus I will ask this:
Senator Obama, please consider asking Paul for a place in your administration or cabinet. If you wish to govern the whole USA, choosing Congressman Paul as an advisor would do a lot to convince people that you will be everyone's president and that you will take diverse positions into consideration.
Abraham Lincoln welcomed his biggest rivals into his cabinet. We are a big tent party. If Obama does the same, it will help guide this country away from the Rovian "Us vs. Them" mindset that has sickened me for so long.
