The Motherlode of All Voter Registration Information

This is a great resource from This Week With Barack Obama. They list all of the states' registration and voting info.
A few things, you must be a U.S. citizen, resident of the state you are voting in, at least 18 years old by November 4, 2008, and sign your form. Changing or registering for the first time and mailing in your application, make sure you bring I.D. to the polls.

Voting Absentee for military or citizens living outside of the U.S., information at Vote from Abroad or Long Distance Voter.

Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming has same day registration and voting.

Most on-line registration, STILL, requires you to download the form, sign and mail it in.

National registration form is here. This form is applicable for all 50 states, remember you must show valid identification for first time voters. In Spanish, here.

Clinton hitting the trail again for Obama

Pictured above, Hillary Clinton with Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones last spring

Sen. Clinton is campaigning on behalf of the Obama Biden ticket this weekend in Ohio. Hillary will be making appearances in Akron and Elyria. Click here for more details.

Many of us in Texas hope that Hillary can make it back to Texas to work on areas that went heavily for her in the primary including the Rio Grande Valley/South Texas and El Paso areas. It is doubtful since we are not a battleground.

Gallup Daily Tracking Poll - Making Progress

Ohio Daily Blog's picture

Since bottoming out at five points behind for three days running, Barack Obama has climbed one point each of the last three days to sit now two points behind at 47% to 45%.

Again, these are national tracking polls and not totally representative, but it clearly indicates trends.

It would be nice if Gallup dropped this poll and spent its resources on daily tracking polls in say:

Ohio
Virginia
Colorado
New Mexico
New Hampshire
Michigan
Pennsylvania

That would tell us something more substantive, but for now ...

In the last three weeks we have had a swing from tied, to Obama +8, to McCain +5 and now McCain +2.
