The GOP's Own "Castrating Bitch"

BlueGrassRoots's picture
In one sense and one sense only is Miss Alaska runner-up Sarah Palin the GOP's Hillary Clinton.

The GOP has been licking its chops for eight years at the prospect of running against Clinton.  I strongly suspect a large part of the disarray in McCain's campaign stems from repugs unable to adjust to having their dream opponent snatched away from them.

So, since they couldn't have a "castrating bitch" to run against, they chose a "castrating bitch" to run with.

At The Nation, Patricia Williams explores the real attraction and usefulness of Sarah Palin to the GOP: she's not just the pistol-packin' mama who'd make short work of any man who betrayed her, but the outlaw who breaks the rules any time she doesn't get her way.

Dear Senators Obama and Biden…

It looks like you two want to play nice with the McCain/Palin Camp, going into the election.  That would be a classy move, but after last night, are you still convinced that you are dealing with equally classy people? Because if lame responses like Senator Biden’s on “Morning Joe” Scarborough are any indication, it would appear that the Democrats are trying to lose a race that is their’s to win.

Regardless of your political platform, I would like to think that you’re in this thing to win it all.  You have endured attacks on yourself as an elitist, arrogant, celebrated political celebrity who has no experience in the political arena because you were a community organizer without any real responsibilities, according to Sarah Palin in her speech last night.

Your beautiful wife, Michelle, is attacked as an educated but angry, militant, AK-47 carrying, Afro-wearing 21st Century Version of Angela Davis, and the women in the Democratic Party do not come to her defense or say shyt to the GOP, the New Yorker, or any other print and visual media to get them to come correct.

How many times has the Democratic Party had the table laid and set and thought all they have to do is SHOW UP but instead of showing up, they WIMP OUT?

How did Dr. Mary Washington sleep last night?

Center for Emerging Media's picture

My nephew, Logan, was born in March of 2007, just about a month after Barack Obama announced his candidacy for the Democratic Presidential nomination. I desperately want to use his 17 months on the planet as a metaphor for this 2008 primary season. But I won’t. Instead, I will simply say that after hearing Barack Obama’s acceptance speech, I slept like Logan.

McCain’s Own Family’s Not Voting for Him

On the evening when Senator Barack Obama is making history, it seems things are getting worse for his rival, Senator John McCain.  You know things are bad when your own sister-in-law is saying she’s voting for Barack Obama:

DENVER (AP) — Cindy McCain’s half sister says she will not vote for Republican John McCain and plans to cast her ballot for his Democratic rival, Barack Obama.

“I have a different political standpoint,” Kathleen Hensley Portalski said in an interview with “Us Weekly,” published online Thursday. “I’m voting for Obama.”

I guess hearing your sister deny your existance and say she’s an only child wouldn’t have anything to do with it, would it?

1988 - Ann Richards DNC Keynote Address

Thought Theater's picture

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.

Buenas noches, mis amigos!

I am delighted to be here with you this evening because after listening to George Bush all these years, I figured you needed to know what a real Texas accent sounds like.

Twelve years ago, (former Rep.) Barbara (C.) Jordan, another Texas woman, made the keynote address to this convention - and two women in 160 years is about par for the course.

But, if you give us a chance, we can perform.

After all, Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels.

I want to announce to this nation that in a little more than 100 days, the

Reagan-Meese-Deaver-Nofziger-Poindexter-North- Weinberger-Watt-Gorsuch-Lavelle-Stockman-Haig-Bork-Noriega- George Bush era will be over.

You know, tonight I feel a little like I did when I played basketball in the eighth grade. I thought I looked real cute in my uniform and then I heard a boy yell from the bleachers, "Make that basket, bird legs."
